making life-to-life connections with real families

The sessions and activities of the COMMIT Conferences are planned with this goal in mind: to motivate young ladies to choose to seek God first, become fully committed to Him, come to love Him with all their hearts, and humbly serve others in their irreplaceable youth before facing the pressures of adulthood.

The COMMIT conference provides an opportunity for mothers and daughters to deepen their relationship with the Lord and with one another.

The conference sessions are taught by Godly, dedicated young women and are particularly focused on addressing the challenges girls face in their teens and beyond. The teaching is presented with Bible references, personal illustrations, insightful observations, and life applications. There are skits and presentations to reinforce the material and keep everyone’s interest.

Daughters will be encouraged to make Christ the first priority in their hearts and make wise decisions throughout their lives. Along with attending sessions with their daughters, mothers will benefit from mothers’ sessions of practical encouragement and insight.

Mother Daughter Retreat 2012

Gratitude is a fruit of great cultivation, Samuel Johnson, 1777.

What is growing in your garden? Scripture shows us over and over again that we reap what we sow.  It is important to select your seeds carefully. What would you like to see coming up in your daughter’s life in the next year, 5 years and even 10 years down the road? Join us for our Mother Daughter Retreat in February a time of remembering the goodness of God and cultivating gardens of gratefulness and harvests of holiness.

Moms and daughters have enjoyed learning more about each other and about the Lord at the International ALERT Academy for the last 5 years. Our special blend of times of speaking, activities, workshops and personal time is designed to give a place and time for communication and fun.

This year we are excited to have the Martin ladies (Mom & Daughters) with us to share how the Lord has worked in their relationship as well as the fruit they have seen through exercising gratefulness.

We are excited to to see what the Lord is going to do in the lives of Mothers and Daughters through a getaway that will strengthen your family! So register now!  For more information about this year’s retreat visit our website. International Alert Academy

While attending the 2011 Regional Conference in Indianapolis, I sat amazed, because I had the privilege of listening to Rick Grubbs’s message entitled “Conquering Procrastination”. Though it was the first time I had ever heard anyone speak on procrastination; the stages, the root causes, it sounded all to familiar. I knew the way it felt to be caged and limited by the fear of failure, and I knew the way perfectionism forced one to live: “If you can’t do it perfectly, don’t do it at all.”

The Lord really spoke to me that afternoon. I realized I could never experience God’s best for my life if I was constantly held back by the spirit of fear.

I cannot express my excitement when I saw that the exact same session was up on Embassy Institute! What an opportunity! Now not only could I be encouraged by this message again, but I could also share it with people who had not been able to go to any of this years’ Regional Conferences!

Raising Entrepreneurs Conference – A Model for Family Success
With Speaker, Author, Consultant, and Entrepreneur, David Stelzl

If you attended any of the 4 regional ATI Conferences this year, you may have heard me speak to the parents and young people on the topic of Entrepreneurship – building businesses, and raising up children to think with an entrepreneurial mindset. It has been my desire for many years to build an effective program to share with others, encouraging them with Scriptural principles regarding discipleship/education, and business. I am excited to announce our new 2-day conference, Raising Entrepreneurs!

Designed to help families build an entrepreneurial vision, this workshop will equip parents to raise Entrepreneurs and encourage fathers to get more involved with the education of children and setting a family vision,  while motivating young people to think creatively and use their God given talents to build businesses/meet pressing needs of others.  By doing this I believe we can help families to work and minister as a team while building businesses that work!

Live Conference

Date: November 11-12
Location: Brandy Station, VA.

Please visit the link below if you are interested (or know someone who might be interested) in attending. Also, please consider hosting one in your area!

I am also working on a Raising Entrepreneurs webinar series which will cover various topics, including some from the 2 day conference. Details for our first upcoming webinar are online, at our Events page as well. This first session will be based on the talk I presented to the parents at the 4 regional ATI Conferences, setting a foundation for future webinar events.

Paul Speed is the founder of “Whatever It Takes!” Ministries for couples and “4 Days 2 Freedom” for men. Since 2005, Paul has spoken to thousands of men sharing his personal story of freedom from a life-time of bondage to lust, lying & hypocrisy.  He now shares the lessons of freedom he learned and how God restored his relationship with his wife and children.
Although Paul speaks nationally each year, his heart’s desire is to personally help men find freedom from years of bondage to sexual sin. Because of this desire “4 Days 2 Freedom” was born.  This 4-day intensive weekend is designed to help men break free from pornography addictions and other sexual addictions, as well as learn to walk in freedom from past failures.

It is four days of getting alone with God and other men to find and experience the freedom in Christ your heart longs for. The number of attendees is limited each month to provide as much personal attention as possible. If you are serious about finding freedom in Christ, then this 4-day intensive is for you.

“The Old Testament Tabernacle:  the sacrifices, the specific rules for building, the preciseness with which to carry out the tasks – as I would read through books like Leviticus, I had a growing desire to know the significance behind all of these seemingly unreasonable rituals. I would look for books and commentaries that would shed some light on the topic.

I “happened upon” these messages by Doug Small – and was captivated! I listened and feverishly took notes as he unearthed the rich New Testament application for the Old Testament practices. As I listened, my eyes were opened to the beauty and completeness of God’s design for our fellowship with Him – God’s way of worship! And I understood in a deeper way God’s great desire to have fellowship with His people. To say this has changed my prayer life is an understatement – this has changed my view of God and deepened my desire for true and unhindered fellowship with Him!”

I will never forget the message George Keller shared at an ATI conference when I was 12 years old. He told a gripping tale that revolved around his son. I clearly remember his words and tears as he shared about the hardships that he endured when his son’s horrendous secret was uncovered. Six years after I heard George Keller’s story, I located the message on Embassy Institute. Thrilled, I watched the message for a second time. The story reminded me of God’s faithfulness and abundant grace. George Keller’s testimony affirmed to me that trusting in the Lord during times of trials brings life changing results.”
